Beautiful yet dark the truth may reign,
The shadows of the heart consumes the man before you,
In the night whispers reach forbidden ears,
As tears of silent sufferings fall from his pleading orbs,
The waves of doubt within his mind wreak havoc on his beloved soul.
No more shall the sorrows consume,
As he who fell to shadows learns,
That his pain can end if he allows someone in,
To speak the words he longed to speak for many years past,
So they may help him live again.
Only the lessons these sorrows have taught us,
Shall help us move forward rather than back,
To face the future with a hopeful smile,
Rather than a tortured glance,
His happiness...his sealed up scars,
He survived and thrived through the evils past.
